Account Credit Management and Dashboard Changes

As of August 13th 2024, these changes are updated on the inca platform:

1. Account Management - brand new user role / permission system to make inca more secure and enterprise-friendly. For the full article about the different roles that can be assigned to users and guests please see this article here.

2. AI Coding and Credit System - major update to inca pricing, and for inca projects researchers are now required to trigger AI Coding manually, instead of it automatically running when a project closes:

-  AI Coding is now triggered “manually” through user action, rather than automatically triggering for all open-ended questions when project is closed. Users now therefore have control over how their AI Coding credits are “spent”, however the AI Coding results will require several minutes of processing before the dashboard updates with the results.

- AI Coding credits are now tracked by # of characters rather than # of verbatims; and they are pooled across inca projects and uploaded datasets. Clients’ credits have been automatically updated to reflect this change. For the full article on how are AI coding credits are use, please see this article here. 

- AI Coding and SmartProbe credits used for a project are both reported on the management stats page of each dashboard. SmartProbe credit usage only gets “locked in” to tenant at the time that the project is closed. AI Coding credits get “locked in” at the time that analysis is initiated.

Changes to Pricing:

inca pricing has been updated in two important ways:

1. inca projects now come with a fixed number of SmartProbe and AI Coding credits. SmartProbe credits are consumed whenever a probe is generated across all respondents (including incompletes!), and are tallied in real-time on your dashboard management stats page. AI Coding credits are consumed when a researcher initializes AI Coding for any open-ended question after the project completion, and are also tallied on the management stats page. All inca users with purchased but unused project credits have been provided with SmartProbe and AI Coding credits based on the number of unused project credits!
2. AI Coding credits are now measured in number of characters analyzed, instead of number of verbatims. In addition, AI Coding credits are pooled across inca projects versus uploaded datasets, meaning any AI Coding credits that you purchase will be available wherever you want to use AI Coding! Existing AI Coding credits have been multiplied by 100x to reflect the usage of number of characters instead of number of verbatims!

Specifically, existing AI Coding credits will be multiplied by 100x; and then for every unused project credit available, clients’ AI Coding credits will be increased by 600000 characters and by 3000 SmartProbe requests.

3. Dynamic summarization - Dashboard users can now generate summaries for any filtered segment just by clicking a button on any open-ended question card. The summaries may take a few minutes to generate before the dashboard updates with them.
