How can I edit a live survey to change quotas or sample size?

Modified on Tue, 2 Apr, 2024 at 7:17 AM

In case users need to modify existing quotas or increase sample size required on the study, here are some guidelines to follow.

Modify existing quotas

(Remove quotas, add new quotas, update quotas with new options if added to a question)

1.  On the Project Directory page, select your project Dashboard. On the Management Stats Page click Pause study on the upper right corner then click Edit Quotas.

Note:  Inform your panel provider or other source audience that once the project is paused, the survey link will not be accessible.

2. Go the Audience page to edit existing quotas in Custom Screeners. Please see related article in setting up quotas here

3. If you are adding/updating quotas with new options from a question, you can only add new options from an existing question in Question Builder. Please note that users cannot edit option values, rearrange existing options, or remove options in a live study.

4. Once you've made all the changes, you can click the Preview button on the top right to save and preview the changes that you've. Then click the Republish on the left side of the platform.

5. Check the Dashboard if the changes have been implemented. Note that this will take a few minutes for the Dashboard to refresh.

6. Once checked on the Dashboard, click Resume study on the Management stats page so that the survey is live again and can proceed with fieldwork.

Increase sample size

1.   Similar above, click Pause study and click Edit Quotas

2. In the Audience page, input the sample size. Please note the maximum sample size that the platform allow is n=3000

3. Once done with the changes, click Preview button and Republish your study.

4.  When the Dashboard refreshes with the new sample size, click Resume study on the Management stats page so that the survey is live again and can proceed with fieldwork.
